We Are
As the 2020 oil price plummeted, industries, sectors and companies all had to adapt to survive. A new landscape was emerging and many had to acclimatise. In parallel, energy transition, net zero and brexit are top of the agenda. COVID19 also took grip globally. These were unprecedented times.

Mackenzie Black was founded in 2020 to help businesses and management teams navigate
this new landscape by offering hands-on corporate, strategic and commercial horsepower to shareholders, management teams and boards of startups, growups and scaleups as they look to pivot, transition, adapt, and or grow in this new environment.

Our skills are transferable. Meaning we can work across industries and sectors.
We love to work with ambitious teams. We also like the underdog.
Our
Story
Redundancy was the primary driver for starting Mackenzie Black, and so it was established in 2020.
We draw on well over two decades of relevant knowledge and experience working with shareholders and management teams of ambitious businesses.
We use this to help unlock commercial, strategic and corporate value, to drive scale and growth. We bring hands-on horsepower, energy and focus where required.

Using our knowledge and experience in corporate finance, strategy, corporate development, sales, business development and marketing within the global energy and food & drink industries, we bring commercial and strategic judgement, and the ability to execute. We can operate and influence at board level, and bring leadership, insight, focus and rigor, driven by a "make things happen" mentality
We are focused, diligent and energetic, but most of all completer-finishers. We are excited about business, and driving growth and scale.
